Who knew these little guys could move so fast?  These snails were stunning and it was one of the many times during my stay in Tofino that I was cursing that I didn’t have a macro lens…Besides that, I think they’re called a Purple Dwarf Olive.  They have the most magnificent shell and they just bulldoze their way through the sand.   Not the best drivers as you can see…one too many at the local pub, I’d say!
