Moving across the country is never easy.  What is worse is leaving behind my many wonderful Ottawa family photography clients who know the quality of my work and the level of service I provide .  So, to give my new friends in St. Albert, Edmonton and surrounding areas a chance to test me out, I’m announcing limited edition, family mini sessions for the rest of 2014!  Perfect for family, just the kids, couples or maternity photography.

One major bonus of moving back to Alberta is the family photography opportunities in beautiful canola fields! I love them!  I so enjoyed taking this gorgeous family’s photographs this past week.  The last time I photographed this little man was when he was just a babe…so many changes, but just as adorable!  Although the skies were hazy and a really weird colour from all the horrible forest fires in NWT, Alberta and BC, I think we did ok, don’t you?

We lucked out with the gorgeous weather for this surprise extended family session…We got Grandma and Grandpa gooooood!  Happy 40th Anniversary again!!

2013 is proving to be an exciting and busy year! My spring is rapidly booking up thanks to you, my wonderful clients, and your loyal support. THANK YOU! However, it is also going to be a BIG year of change. Change for both my family and my business. One that I am excited about, but exhausted thinking about at the same time….

What’s the scoop you ask? Well, we’re moving…A move that will take us over 2,000 km away. Yep. We’re on the road back to Alberta. Wowsers, huh? It’s taken me a few days to lift my jaw off the floor too… However, while I’m dreading all that has to be done and saying goodbye to friends, family and a city that I call home, I am excited for the chance to try new things, make new friends and photograph new places.

So what does this mean for you? Rest assured, all sessions that have been booked are safe and sound and will be completed prior to our move this summer. As for the rest of you? Now’s your chance to book a session before I’m hitchin’ up the wagon to go west. I will have limited availability between now and the end of June, so if you are at all interested, please let me know as soon as possible.

Since I can’t do a post without pictures, here’s *just a few* of my favourite images from 2012…so many more I could have included and my apologies if you were left out!

AND, if you have any inside scoop on Edmonton – things to do, restaurants, family stuff etc., leave a comment! I so enjoyed meeting and photographing this absolutely beautiful family. We hung out and took some every day lifestyle type images and then we moved to a beautiful little natural area to take some great portraits.

You might remember this beautiful family from June’s Birthday and I was delighted that they wanted me to photograph them again this fall. What amazed me was how much their wee girl had changed developmentally in the 6 months since I had last photographed her. She had a vocabulary explosion and she was so much more interactive. It was so neat to see! I am so honoured to be able to see my clients grow, change and add to their families. It’s pretty cool, I gotta say!
