I was so honoured to be asked to photograph Karen & Cale’s beautiful wedding in my old stomping grounds of Grande Prairie this past June. I hadn’t been back in a while (lived there for 8 years and our daughter was born there) and I hardly recognized the place. For those of you in the know, I kept having to look for the “big black office tower” to get my bearings!
The day started off with lots of laughter at Karen’s Mom’s house.
The ceremony was filled with laughter and love…I may have had to wipe a tear or two.
We then had a blast going to different locations in and around Grande Prairie.
It was finally time for the reception and I had a hard time taking photos…The speech by the MC was pretty much the funniest speech I have ever heard!! Well done, Mike! He had everyone in stitches throughout the night.
As you can see, it was a magical day and I know these two will enjoy a lifetime of happiness! Congratulations!!

Crystal has to be one of the most gracious brides I have ever met. It was pouring, not just a little drizzle pouring, but full on freezing cold pouring rain on her wedding day pouring. Did she complain? Nope, not once. They both just took it in stride and enjoyed their day regardless of the circumstances. That’s all you can do right?

I have learned so much about the art of wedding photography from Marko, that it was a little unnerving to photograph his wedding with my other mentor FMPhotoStudios! However, it was a beautiful day and Marko & Casandra’s attention to detail was amazing!
I started off as normal by photographing the groom getting ready, but they didn’t tell me it was going to be an all out party before the party! How fun is that?!
The service was lovely and full of beautiful traditions.
We then went to various locations around the Edmonton area for some fun with the bridal party!
The hall was decorated so beautifully by the couple. They spent hundreds of hours hand making all of the gorgeous paper flowers that surrounded the 6 ft tall LOVE sign and head table. Uh-maz-ing! As an aside, let me know if you or someone you know would be interested in renting the sign. I just might be able to hook you up 😉

Hold onto your hats, this is a beautiful wedding from this fall with GORGEOUS yellow bridesmaid’s dresses, beautiful details and amazing shots in the rain. It was such a fun wedding to photograph with FMPhotoStudios!
First up were the groom preparations:
Then we went to the venue and got ready for the first look.
Once the dust had settled, we got down to business and photographed the couple’s formal photos around the Edmonton area.
Once we were back at the venue it was time for David and Linda to get married!
The evening ended with a gorgeous rain that cooled things off and helped to produce these wedding photographs that I absolutely love!

Earlier in the summer I had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Avi’s gorgeous wedding with MarkoDPhotography. We had so much fun and I learned a few things about Portuguese culture along the way…the main thing being they can dance. And by they I mean the men as well! Holy smokes from the littlest of littles all they way up, they found the beat and went for it! It made for such a fun day!
The formal photos were an absolute blast. After hanging with the guys all morning and convincing the groom that he would indeed get used to his photos being taken, things got a little silly…
Proof is in the picture. After a touching moment with Stephanie’s grandfather (yes, I teared up), this little bug cut the rug so to speak. So cute!

I had the pleasure of shooting with FMPhotoStudios and enjoyed meeting Josh & Jacinta in July. I love to shoot details and there were so many opportunities at this beautiful Edmonton Wedding. As per usual, I started my day hanging out with the guys and making sure all went smoothly. They were pretty organized, so this made my job easier 😉
We then headed to the west end for a lovely and personal service with really incredible live music.
After the service we took some really fun urban photos…
And then some more natural photos to round out the day…

I have so much fun second shooting for Marko D Photography and this wedding was no exception! One word for these two. Adorable! The other word would have to be Seahawks! Nicholas is a HUGE fan and he was willing to go along with my tomfoolery for some shots 🙂 Being a west coast girl, I had to approve of his NFL team 😉
Their wedding took place at St. Joseph’s in St. Albert and the wee flower girl and ring bearer *almost* stole the show. So incredibly sweet!
We then braved the heat for the formal shots and headed to the wedding reception which was beautiful.
