Who says you can’t have a beautiful maternity session in the winter in Edmonton? This Mama, who you may remember from her wedding photos HERE, was more than willing to embrace the snow and I think the results were worth it!

Earlier this winter I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful Mama and her growing family.
I love to do Maternity Photography with newborn clients as it gives us a chance to get to know each other, discuss newborn photography options (first 10 days or more lifestyle a little later on) and to just relax before the real excitement begins!
Then this little beauty came along! She was so good and such a beautiful baby girl and her big brother was so incredibly proud to be able to hold her. So incredibly sweet!

I was lucky enough to travel back to Ottawa over Thanksgiving for a VERY brief visit. But I was able to connect with one of my first clients to do her maternity photographs for the second time. When Chelsea and I connected to do her maternity photographs I thought she would show up wearing a cape…why you ask? Well, you can’t tell in these photos, but she’s sporting an ankle brace as she’s been nursing a painful broken ankle back to health while looking after her wee girl AND dealing with pregnancy while her husband is out of town. See, Superhero cape is needed 🙂
Thanks Chelsea for coming out to St. Albert and changing in and out of your foot brace a million times. I think it was worth it, no?

I gotta admit, I’m a little (a lot) over winter these days, but the warmer temperatures do make for some lovely late winter maternity photos.
Petite Maternity sessions are awesome because they give new parents a chance to get to know me before sleep deprivation takes over 😉 and we create some lovely memories of this special time to boot!
I can’t wait to photograph their newborn after he makes his way into the world!

Just waiting for this lil’ guy to be born! We had a gorgeous evening to photograph his Mommy and Daddy to be…the golden light made me want to shoot forever. But their frozen fingers made me keep my photographer gloved trigger finger in check! 😉
I can’t wait to meet this little man as he will be my first little guy in a long time…he’s breaking the streak of wee girls!

There’s nothing worse than being overdue…I know, I think I’d still be pregnant if both mine weren’t induced! This Mama’s due date is today…so the count it is on…Any day now sweets!

I love maternity sessions because new Moms are excited, amazed at what their body is doing and apprehensive about what is to come all rolled up into one beautiful round belly 🙂 It reminds me of my first pregnancy and it’s fun to relive that time in my life.
The other great thing about Petit Maternity Sessions is that we have a chance to get to know each other a bit and I think it helps to put a face to the name. We had a great time walking around Mer Bleu last night and their were no bugs…I couldn’t believe it!
